Teaching

I truly enjoy teaching. My teaching positions at Dickinson Law have varied. I have been an adjunct, contract faculty member, and I am currently on the tenure-track. I have also taught as a visiting and adjunct professor at Widener Commonwealth.

Current Courses

  • Business Entities I
  • Employment Law (SEM)
  • Entrepreneurship Law: Company Creation (EXP)
  • Entrepreneurship Law: Operational Issues (EXP)
  • Legal Analysis & Writing II – Persuasive

The Entrepreneurship Law classes are experiential classes that I created and are unique to Dickinson Law. I received grants from Penn State Teaching and Learning with Technology Innovation to author a free open-source text book for each of the classes. In these classes, we focus primarily on representing or becoming entrepreneurs and the legal aspects of starting up and running a business. Students engage in multiple real-world projects that hone their drafting, negotiating, and compliance review skills.

Open-Source Text Books (Entrepreneurship Law)

In addition to teaching courses, I supervise students engaged in independent study work. I have also presented in Dickinson Law’s Race & Equal Protection of the Laws class. My presentations covered the inequities that the Payroll Protection Program loans created, and the inequities created by retirement plan vesting schedules particularly in high turnover businesses.
